I will never forget the inspiration that Lawrence imparted on his DofE groups. He had this power to make you really believe in yourself. The most important lesson he taught us was that you don't have to make loads of money, you just have to be happy in what you do. I had wished to return to strodes one day to tell him that I had made a good life for myself and that he is a large part of that reason. I distinctly remember asking him on the DofE walks what to do if a badger was to get into the tent and he replied well I would get out as quickly as possible which made the group chuckle. I will always miss that little feather hat and the way he would just appear out of the bushes at any given moment. I took two photos of Lawrence on the DofE walks which I have uploaded to the gallery and here (I was quite annoying with my photo taking). I hope you treasure them as much as me.
